1. Introduction

1.1. This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies are, which ones the skazka.ai website (the "Site," "Service") uses, for what purpose, on what legal basis, and how you can control your choices. It forms part of, and is read together with, the Privacy Policy.

1.3. The current version and its date are shown on the Site. Changes are not retroactive.

2. What cookies and similar technologies are

2.1. A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your device's browser to "remember" your actions and settings (login, cart, language) and to gather statistics.

2.2. Similar technologies covered by this Policy include web beacons (pixels), browser local storage (localStorage, sessionStorage), device identifiers, and third-party SDKs/scripts. For brevity, all of these are referred to as "cookies."

2.3. Cookies may be session (deleted when you close the browser) or persistent (stored until they expire or are deleted); first-party (set by the skazka.ai domain) or third-party (set by partner domains — analytics, social media, advertising).

3. Categories of cookies we use

We group cookies into four categories. Strictly necessary cookies always operate; the other three are non-essential and load depending on your choice and the applicable legal regime (see §5–6).

4.2. The RU/BY market is operated separately (by the Russian sole proprietor) under its own RU Cookie Policy, where Yandex Metrica (analytics) and VK Pixel (marketing) are used instead of some of the above. Those tools are not deployed for worldwide-market visitors by default.

4.3. The current full list of specific cookies (names, providers, retention periods) is maintained in the consent-management tool (cookie banner) on the Site and may change as partners are added or removed. The list of third-party processors is also disclosed in the Privacy Policy.

5. Legal basis

5.1. Strictly necessary cookies are processed on the basis of the necessity to perform our contract with you and our legitimate interest in keeping the Site functional and secure (GDPR Art 6(1)(b) and (f)). They are exempt from consent under the ePrivacy Directive / UK PECR as strictly necessary to provide the service you request; they cannot be switched off via the banner.

5.2. Functional, analytics, and marketing cookies that can directly or indirectly identify a user are stored and read only with your consent (ePrivacy Directive Art 5(3); UK PECR reg 6). The associated processing of personal data relies on GDPR/UK GDPR Art 6(1)(a) consent.

5.3. This mixed model reflects that most of our visitors are covered by GDPR (EU/EEA), UK GDPR + PECR (UK), or comparable laws. Where a jurisdiction (e.g., certain US states) permits an opt-out model, we honor recognized opt-out signals (such as Global Privacy Control) for sale/sharing of personal information.

6. Consent management

6.1. Cookie banner. On your first visit, the Site shows a banner with equally prominent "Accept all" and "Reject all / Reject" buttons, plus a "Manage / Customize" link to choose individual categories. Rejecting is as easy as accepting; there are no pre-ticked boxes for non-essential categories.

6.2. EU/EEA and UK — prior opt-in. For visitors in the EU/EEA and the UK, non-essential cookies (functional, analytics, marketing) and their scripts are not loaded or set until you give active consent. No analytics or advertising pixel fires before you click "Accept." Silence, continued browsing, or scrolling does not count as consent. Consent is granular (per category) and recorded with a timestamp.

6.3. Other regions. Where local law permits, some non-essential cookies may operate on the basis of consent given via the banner and/or an opt-out model; you can change your choice at any time.

6.4. Explicitly: analytics and marketing cookies in the EU/EEA and the UK require prior consent and do not activate until it is given. Strictly necessary cookies operate regardless of your choice.

7. How to withdraw or change consent

7.1. On the Site. The "Cookie settings" link (in the footer) reopens the preference panel at any time, where you can change or fully withdraw previously given consent. Withdrawal takes effect going forward and does not make prior processing unlawful.

7.2. In your browser. You can block and delete cookies in your browser settings ("Privacy"/"Cookies"). Help pages for Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge explain how. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may break the Site.

7.3. Via providers / industry tools. You can also opt out through each provider's ad settings (e.g., Google Ads Settings, Meta ad preferences) and industry mechanisms such as the DAA (optout.aboutads.info) and the EDAA (youronlinechoices.eu).

8. Cookie retention

8.1. Session cookies are deleted when you close the browser. Persistent cookies are stored for a limited period depending on category and provider:

Consent itself is time-limited: we re-request your choice at least once within the period stated in the consent tool (roughly every 6–12 months) and whenever the set of cookies materially changes. 9. Children

9.1. The Service is intended for adults (18+). We do not use cookies to profile children. A child's data is provided by the parent/guardian (see the Privacy Policy).

10. Changes to this Policy

10.1. We may update this Policy. A new version takes effect upon posting on the Site with its number and date. Where the set of cookies changes materially, consent is requested again.
